Wings Over Wairarapa

We are proud to have been involved with Wings Over Wairarapa, 2023. We have been providing security for this spectacular event since 2005.

"Wings Over Wairarapa" is a fantastic airshow that happens every two years in New Zealand's beautiful Wairarapa region. This event is all about airoplanes and flying, and it's a real treat for anyone who loves planes.

The event usually takes place at Hood Aerodrome in Masterton, which is a big field where planes can take off and land. What's exciting is that you get to see all kinds of planes, both old and new.

You'll see vintage planes that were used in wars a long time ago, like World War I and World War II. These planes have fascinating stories, and you can get up close to them. You also get to see modern planes, including fighter jets and helicopters, doing cool tricks in the sky.

Imagine watching planes do flips and loops in the air. You can also see the planes up close when they're parked on the ground. You can even talk to the pilots and learn about how these incredible machines work.

But "Wings Over Wairarapa" is not just about planes. It's also a fun day out for families. There are food stalls for you and the kids to grab a bite to eat, and you can buy cool aviation-related merch like model airplanes and t-shirts.

If you're curious about how planes work or want to know more about the history of flying, there are special sessions where guides can tell you all about it.

One of the best things about this event is that it brings the community together. People from the local area, as well as visitors from other places, come to enjoy the excitement. It's not just a show; it's a way for everyone to share in the wonder of aviation.

So, if you're ever in Wairarapa when "Wings Over Wairarapa" is taking off, make sure to check it out. It's a day filled with incredible planes, thrilling performances, tasty food, and a chance to learn about the magic of flight. It's an event that brings people together to celebrate and learn of amazing things pilots can do.
